People will argue about the best weapon when it comes to combat in games but it all comes down to the playstyle and the knife can be quite effective as shown in Knife io. This is an event where a bunch of knife-wielding fighters are all fighting to be the strongest. The only condition is that they have to use knives or at least weapons that are similar to knives. They're all dual-wielding which means that each fighter has twice the knife power. You need to figure out the best way to move and use your knives to be the sharpest blade in the arena.
About Knife io
When it comes to weapons in games, people generally like to have a selection but sometimes less is more and helps convey a concept. This game is all about knife fighting and the fact that each fighter has two creates a certain style of combat. This allows for the visual showcase of skills that look cooler when used with two knives instead of one. There is very little technique to master so it all comes down to movement and timing. In a way, that's the basis of most fighting skills but this game reduces it to a more base form to make for faster gameplay.
How to Play
Knife io is a top-down 2D multiplayer fighting game with knives that can be controlled with the mouse or keyboard. The mouse can be a bit slower so a keyboard is recommended.

The goal is to be the biggest and strongest fighter in the arena. When you begin, you'll spawn into an open space with fighters moving all around you. By using your attacks and skills, you can use your knives in different ways in order to attack. Only direct hits on the body will count, as indicated by numbers rising up from their position. When the enemy is defeated, they'll vanish and you'll gain experience points.
You can also gain experience points by collecting little colorful orbs that are scattered across the field. When you have enough experience, you'll level up. This will cause your fighters to get bigger allowing them to do more damage and have greater reach. However, if you fall at any time during the battle, you'll be reset back to the first level.
On the main menu, you can choose what kind of fighter you would like. Simply go to the right side of the screen and hit Random to change your fighter.
Tips and Tricks
The arena is quite small which means you need to move creatively and always try to stay to the sides or behind opponents. Getting bigger is good, but it also makes you a bigger target so try to stay out of the center. Your skills have a cooldown which makes them more effective for use once the target's health drops below 50 percent.
