The slimes have been at the bottom of the fodder food chain for many years and they're doing their best to soar to new heights like inĀ Mini Springs. The slimes have gained access to certain technology to allow them to move in ways that they can't normally. You are following the journey of a purple slime that has found a way to use springs to send itself soaring. These springs can save it and allow it to traverse the dangerous surroundings it may find itself. You must help the slime bounce to a new world and maybe a new life.
About Mini Springs
Contained platform levels are all about making a small and balanced puzzle that seems quick but requires thought to make it through. This game works on that by presenting the slime with a lot of boxed-in areas to navigate. Being so squishy and vulnerable, the slime needs to be kept safe and you need to make the best moves and choices to get them to the end. You can't be careless otherwise that will lead to the poor little slime being defeated. They need your guidance and you need their determination to make it to the end so that you can bounce even more.
How to Play
Mini Springs isĀ a 2D platform puzzle game about guiding a little slime with springs using the keyboard. Using either A/D or the Left/Right Arrow Keys, you can move the slime left or right respectively. These are the only movements that the slime has which gives it limited options. Luckily, there are purple and green springs that can launch the slime to new heights on contact. The slime can still move while in the air to determine its landing. Purple springs are infinite but green springs will disappear after one use. The goal of each level is to reach the end which is indicated by a little flag. For an extra challenge, try the game's Speedrun mode.
While traversing the stage, the slime will have to contend with various hazards. The most common are red spikes which can appear on any flat surface. ThenĀ there are also enemy slimes that they need to avoid. Red slimes will move back and forth across a surface while green slimes will plant themselves and launch projectiles. Coming into contact with any of these will cause a level reset.
Tips and Tricks
The levels are short and small with all the information you need presented right at the start. The most important element is timing.Ā You need to time when it's safe to reach springs and moveĀ into certain spots. You also need to realize which springs are traps and which aren't.
