The great school years past-time is taking a page from your notebook, folding it into a plane, and then sending it soaring like in Paperly: Paper Plane Adventure. We all like to think that we can fold the perfect paper flying machine to travel all across the world and make it beyond the confines of our classroom. This may be possible depending on where the paper plane takes flight, but then it comes down to the plane and the air to take it further. You may not have made the plane, but you can help it continue its beautiful journey.
About Paperly: Paper Plane Adventure
You may not see as many paper planes as you used to, but they continue to thrive in the digital world where they maintain a simple joy. This game captures the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of throwing a paper plane and watching it soar through the air. While the environments may not be accurate to what the average child sees, they represent our imaginations. We wanted to think that our plane could fly farther than ever. They represent the freedom that wish we had back then and we wanted them to keep flying as long as they were in our sights. This plane won't disappear and you'll want to take it as far as possible.
How to Play
Paperly: Paper Plane Adventure is a 3D endless flight arcade game about flying a paper airplane using the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Ascend
- S/Down Arrow - Descend/Dive
- A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
- D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
- Shift - Use Boost
The goal is to help the plane fly as far as possible and for as long as it can. If the plane collides with any object or surface, its flight will end. There is also a timer beneath the plane and when that drops to zero, the plane will stop flying.
When you start flying, the plane will have an average speed and will remain aloft as long as you don't it into anything. You can tilt up to slow down (your speed is tracked in the bottom right corner) or dive to accelerate. The top of the screen shows how far the plane needs to travel in order to get to the end of the current area. At the start of the new area, some of the plane's flying timer will be restored. You can also collect purple crystals to gain a boost, blue cubes for currency, and yellow pieces to add to the flying timer.
On the main menu, you can use the blue cubes to buy new paper plane models and skins. They all have different shapes and that gives them different stats when flying.
Tips and Tricks
This is a relaxing game where the goal is to maintain a smooth flight which can be done by staying at the center in the open air. Be careful when flying close to structures or surfaces, and collect boosters to cover more ground if you find yourself falling behind.
