All of us have had dreams and fantasies about what it would feel like to soar through the air as freely as the birds in Sky Flight. We can experience flight virtually and maybe get closer to finding inner peace through it. You're controlling a bird that may be some type of hawk as it flies through an open desert and mountainous landscape. You're just flying and trying to stay in the sky as you rise and dive while gaining speed and avoiding the obstacles on the ground. You're a bird but you're not invincible so fly carefully and responsibly.
About Sky Flight
Flight simulators and other games where it's possible to fly are popular because they capture a strong sense of a feeling. This game has you playing a bird where all that matters is flying and staying in the air as long as you can. The movements are smooth and simply make you feel graceful as you cut through the air like a flaming sword through an ice golem. It's easy to get lost in the experience and fly from one position to the other without even thinking about it. Still, it reminds you that even in the air, you need to remain alert so that you can remain airborne.
How to Play
Sky Flight is a 3D flying game where you guide a bird through the air using the mouse. There are no button presses or clicks to worry about, just the cursor. By moving the cursor around the screen, the bird will follow its movements but note that it takes some time to catch up. The goal is to guide the bird through the rings that appear in the air in hopes of going through as many of them as possible.
The challenge is that as you go through more and more rings, the bird's speed will swiftly increase. Rings will also appear at different altitudes, sometimes very close to the ground. When this happens, you need to deal with a variety of obstacles, notably trees and rocks. If you crash into a tree, you'll lose a life as indicated by the feather counter in the top right corner. You'll also lose a life if you miss a ring. If you lose all your lives, you'll need to start over. Rocks are a different story and crashing into them is an instant game over.
For some customization, you've got the bird selection on the main menu. Click on the arrows to choose a color pattern for your bird.
Tips and Tricks
This game should be played in a calm state since stress or tension will cause you to whip around wildly which can end your flight. Try to keep the bird in the center of the screen and bring them back after each ring so you can react effectively. As long as a big part of the bird goes through the ring, it counts.
