Though humans never existed at the same time as dinosaurs, that doesn't stop us from creating stories about what if like in Dinogen Online. This is a modern world where dinosaurs are very real and as predicted, they've gone out of control. Luckily, they seem to be contained on an island but they still pose a threat and so militia have been assembled to take them down. Of course, the dinosaurs aren't going on without a fight and while some of them may be large brutes, others are far better at organizing themselves. No matter which side you're on, You'll need to fight to stay alive and maybe make it off the island someday.
About Dinogen Online
Titles in development or early access are still trying to figure things out and need player input so that they can improve. This is one of those games, but it's already showing a lot of promise. The online aspects seem to be stable and the graphics level is at a solid level that can be supported across various signal strengths and host a large number of players. There's variety in being able to change between the militia and the dinosaurs, but it's no surprise if the latter ends up being the more popular choice. Either way, you need to rely on skill and learning the game to make progress.
How to Play
Dinogen Online is a 2D top-down online shooter about humans fighting against dinosaurs using the mouse and keyboard.
Controls

The goal will change depending on the game mode, but you're usually expected to take down members of the other team and keep yourself alive. Health will be displayed as a ring around yourself and other units. Your weapons will be shown in the top left corner and the map will be shown in the top right corner. Other game information depending on the mode will be shown on the top or bottom of the screen. If your health hits zero, you'll be eliminated or will need to wait to respawn. You can also find bot allies that you can command to do various things.
Before playing, you can browse around the lobby. There are options to create or join custom games as you wish. You can also visit the shop to buy new weapons and gear or go to the customize section to change your unit's loadout and such. Some elements will be locked out to you unless you create an official account and start tracking your progress. You can start playing by choosing a game to join or selecting Quick Play.
You'll either be a militia or a dinosaur depending on the game mode. You'll spawn in a safe area and will be let out onto the field. Militia all have similar stats and depend mainly on their weapons and equipment while dinosaurs all have different physical attributes and depend on their specific abilities. Either way, you'll be running around the map trying to complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team. You can also find items lying around that can give you new weapons or restore your health. The match will keep going until time runs out or one team achieves a certain goal. You can put your winnings to use to improve what you can access and purchase.
Tips and Tricks
This is a competitive online game that is dependent on skill with the top-down perspective giving you a large view of the surrounding area. When roaming, always make sure that you're never too far from cover. If you're limited to melee attacks, avoid groups and try to ambush solo units when possible.

- Free For All - Every militia and dinosaur for themselves.
- Team Deathmatch - Teams try to kill each other for the most points.
- Capture The Flag - Grab the enemy's flag and bring it back to base.
- Domination - Take control of certain points and hold them.
- Destruction - Destroy enemy stuff and protect your stuff.
- Humans Vs. Dinosaurs - It's the militia team against the dinosaur team.
- Evolution - The dinosaurs are evolving, don't let them.
- Dinosaur Rescue - Dinosaurs have been captured, rescue them.
- Extraction - Grab the airdrops and get out of there.
- Raptor Hunt - The raptors are hunting the humans.
- Tyrant - The T-Rex is the biggest threat.
- Dinosaur Survival - Survive endless waves of dinosaurs.
- Militia Survival - Survive endless waves of militia.
- Chaos Survival - Survive endless waves of militia and dinosaurs.
- Zombie Survival - Survive endless waves of zombies.
- Chicken Survival - Survive endless waves of mutant chickens.
- Pandemonium - Survive endless waves of everything.
